The hard tickets stop here.
AIL3 takes the tier 3 escalations your team can’t solve — confirmed in one business hour, owned to resolution.
Founded by MSP operators · Senior L3 supervision · Now onboarding our founding cohort
Every escalation still ends at you.
You hired L2s. The senior work found you anyway.
It’s 3pm Friday. Your best tech has spent four hours on a broken hybrid Exchange and just hit the wall. The ticket escalates — to you, because there’s nobody else.
You drop the quote you were writing. The fix takes the rest of the afternoon, and the quote goes out Monday — if the weekend stays quiet.
That’s not a helpdesk problem. It’s a bench problem: 15–25 hours of your week goes to tier 3 work nobody else in the building can touch, and a $150K senior hire is the only fix anyone’s offered you.
There’s a third option between suffering and salary.
What is tier 3 IT support?
Tier 3 IT support (also called level 3 or L3) is the highest escalation tier in a support operation: the complex, senior-engineer work that frontline technicians can’t resolve. Think broken hybrid Exchange, Entra ID and Conditional Access conflicts, Azure tenant misconfigurations, and network failures that “should work.”
In most 5–15 person MSPs there is no tier 3 team — there’s the owner. MSP escalation support means renting that tier instead: an outside senior engineering bench that takes the escalations your L1/L2 can’t close.
| Tier | Who handles it | Typical work | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1 | Helpdesk techs | Password resets, known fixes, triage | “Outlook won’t open” |
| L2 | Experienced techs | Deeper troubleshooting, escalation prep | “Outlook won’t open — for the whole office” |
| L3 | Senior engineers | Root cause in complex systems, architecture, migrations | “Hybrid Exchange free/busy is broken after a botched cutover” |
Your team keeps L1 and L2. AIL3 is the L3.
A senior bench on retainer.
A dedicated pod — qualified engineers led by a senior L3 supervisor — owns your escalation queue.
Your afternoons back
Escalations route to us instead of interrupting you, so the 15–25 hours a week you spend on tier 3 work goes back into quoting, selling, and running the business.
An answer in one business hour
Your team flags an issue; we confirm it’s ours within one business hour and own it to resolution. No dispatch queue, no “we’ll get back to you.”
Documentation your clients keep
Every fix comes back written up — root cause, changes made, credentials updated. Your runbooks get better every time we touch something.
It slots onto your helpdesk.
No rip-and-replace. Your L1/L2 decides what to escalate — we take it from there.
Escalate
Your team flags an L3-worthy ticket in a dedicated Slack channel. Email backs it up.
We confirm fast
We verify it’s ours within one business hour and take ownership. You get back to what you were doing.
It comes back closed
Resolution, root cause, and documentation land back with your team. Every hour tracked in a live dashboard.
Send us the tickets you dread.
If your best tech is stuck on it, it’s probably ours.
Microsoft 365 & Exchange
Broken hybrids, mail-flow failures, tenant-to-tenant weirdness, free/busy that died in a migration.
Entra ID & Conditional Access
Sync failures, lockout loops, MFA and CA policy conflicts that keep locking out the CEO.
Azure infrastructure
Tenant misconfigurations, VM and networking issues, cost blowouts nobody can explain.
Intune & endpoints
Enrollment failures, compliance policies that won’t apply, app deployments stuck at 60%.
Networking
Site-to-site VPNs, firewall rebuilds, segmentation that should work and doesn’t.
Escalations that become projects
Some tickets are really migrations in disguise. We scope those as fixed projects — from your same included hours.
Senior depth, without the senior salary.
The alternative to escalation support isn’t free — it’s a $150K hire or your own weekends.
A senior engineering team for less than half the cost of one hire — no recruiting, no ramp, no payroll.

What counts as an L3 escalation?
Anything your L1/L2 can’t close: Microsoft 365 and Exchange breakage, Entra ID and Conditional Access conflicts, Azure tenant issues, Intune failures, and complex networking. If you’d normally handle it yourself, escalate it. We confirm whether it’s ours within one business hour.
How fast do you respond?
We confirm ownership of an escalation within one business hour, then work it to resolution. We operate business hours and say so honestly — no fake 24/7. If we miss the SLA window, we credit your next month.
Do you work under our brand?
Your clients stay yours. Escalations run behind your helpdesk, invisible to end clients; client-facing project work is delivered under your brand with white-label project management. We never market to your clients.
Who actually does the work?
A dedicated pod of qualified engineers, led and quality-controlled by a senior L3 supervisor. We staff each pod with the right people for the work — the difference is seniority, supervision, and documentation discipline, not geography.
What does it cost compared to hiring?
Plans start at $2,500/month for 10 included senior-engineer hours; a full-time senior engineer runs about $150K a year all-in. Most 5–15 person MSPs can’t pin that salary to any one client’s MRR — a monthly bench they can size up or down pins to all of them.
Does this replace our helpdesk or PSA?
No. Your team keeps working your PSA exactly as they do now, and decides what to escalate. We add a Slack channel and an email address on top — that’s the whole integration.
Built by operators who’ve been you.
AIL3 was founded by people who ran the escalation queue — and built the bench to get out of it.

Escalate your escalations.
Hand off the queue this month. Your best tech gets a real L3 behind them — and you get your afternoons back.
We confirm every escalation inside one business hour or credit your next month. Business hours, honestly stated — no fake 24/7.
